Many educators regularly recommend to parents that they develop a habit of reading at home with their children, however, for many parents, it's just not that easy.

These materials, available in English and Spanish, are all you will need to lead two parent workshops. Workshop 1 (20 minute video) is designed for parents who haven't yet begun reading with their children or who aren't confident in how they are doing it. Workshop 2 (10 minute video) is designed for parents who have been reading with their children and would like some additional techniques to enhance their time reading with their children. The goal of both workshops is to help parents feel more comfortable reading to their children.

• Transparency Masters (Spanish version includes English translation)
• Parent handouts (1 in English only version, 2 in the Spanish version)

The English translations have been included with the Spanish version to make it easier to share the content with fellow educators who may not be fluent in Spanish.

Parent handouts recap all the information from the workshop and are laminated for repeated use.
