That’s Allegro 1 is the english version of Alegro 1, the first of a three–level Italian course. it is designed for children and adults who want to learn the language and know about contemporary Italian life and culture in a stimulating way. It develops students communication competence with review and reinforcement of already learned structures.

That’s Allegro offers a combined student textbook and workbook in one volume to make study more practical and effective; a clear systematic structure in 12 units (including 4 review units); a grammar summary and review of newly presented communicative structures; a wide variety of exercises; and an Italian—English glossary at the end of the book. Throughout, the focus is on spoken competence using motivating games and activities that stimulate the learning process.

A comprehensive teacher’s guide simplifies the teachers work with practical ideas, supplementary material that can be photocopied, transcripts of the listening passages and the key to the grammar exercises.

The only difference between Alegro and That’s Allegro lies in the language of instruction. Both books could be used in the same classroom. each level will include a student book/workbook/audio CD package (with dialogues, listening activities and pronunciation exercises), supplementary exercises and self–tests, and a teacher’s guide.
